An alarm clock, based on a nixie tube display.
The clock has "IN-8" tubes, and uses the ArduiNIX shield on top of
an Arduino board for generating the high voltages required to run the tubes.
Stained wood, etched brass switch label.
Blue LEDS are under the tubes as an indication that the alarm is on.
At the rear (not seen) is a Light Dependent Resistor, the value of which is read by the Arduino, as a means of controlling
the brightness of the nixie display in different light conditions (ie. less bright in a darkened room).
The colon in the middle is made from two "grain of wheat" light bulbs, running at low voltage.
Seen at the front, the alarm is a 10 tone analog sequencer, based on the Baby10 design.
